This week’s film premieres proved fashion is performance, from Margot Robbie’s show-stopping Wuthering Heights gowns to Charli XCX’s playful The Moment looks. But campaigns and collabs from Jil Sander, FENDI, and yes, bridal Birkenstocks reminded us that style moments don’t just happen on the red carpet, they happen everywhere.

Margot Robbie has long set the tone for premiere dressing, with her Barbie red carpet looks among the most-watched moments of recent seasons, sparking a trend of method dressing where Hollywood actors inhabit their characters even off-screen. For the first day of promo, Robbie returned in full force for Wuthering Heights, turning heads in a Roberto Cavalli Resort 2026 black mini dress with a velvet-lined square neckline and dramatic bell sleeves, paired with a baroque ruby choker and sky-high Louboutin stilettos (4.7 inches!). Plus, an Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2026 asymmetric black floral dress, the Rosa sandals, and the Manta Clutch. The boldest statement came in the shape of a custom Schiaparelli lace gown by Daniel Roseberry for the LA premiere of the film.
In the same week, the premiere of Charli XCX’s The Moment brought a fresh energy to the red carpet. After delivering with a custom Vivienne Westwood gown for the Wuthering heights premiere, the musician turned actor wore a nude dress and raincoat by emergent designer Simon Carle at Sundance festival and a custom tHE mOMENT jacket. With Kylie Jenner, Chappel Roan and of course the film’s director Aidan Zamiri in attendance, Charli decided to re-wear her iconic Grammys corset, tour shorts, and her wedding bra for the premiere of the film, which I guess counts as method acting, too.
