They have brought their signature looks and strong co-branding outcomes to Champion Select. Offering up a capsule collection for men and women (we see matching couple outfits on the horizon), with a modern interpretation on the classic sportswear brand. Champion, established since 1919, know a thing or two about sportswear – they invented the sports bra, hallelujah! Predominately black, with mesh layering and spandex, the collection is sportswear heaven. Especially for those too cool to actually work out… but sports bras and elastic waists means the practicalities aren’t lost on this super cool collection. Hero piece of the collection is the Channing Dress, a signature shape from Wood Wood, flared skirt and fitted waist is a highlight without a doubt. Available in our favourite hipster hang out, Urban Outfitters, we will be clamouring for these seven pieces. Entitled ‘Heroes’, Wood Wood’s latest offering drew its inspiration from the 1961 war film ‘The Guns of Navarone’ and then archetypal hero portrayed in movies of that era.

The styles and colours of uniforms and the DIY spirit of the resistance movements portrayed in these movies, formed the foundation for the ‘Heroes’ collection, which saw iconic silhouettes given a contemporary urban sporty edge balancing style and function. Wood Wood pushed the heroes theme further however incorporating a host of historic heroes from Fausto Coppi to Tupac Skahur in a hand drawn all-over print.

Premium jerseys, wool and nylon were all enhanced with decorative sealed seams, panels and other performance inspired details, all in a deep  colour palette of navy, burgundy and army green with infrequent flashes of fluorescent and mid tones.
