KILIMANJARO is On Repeat…
Bloc Party – “Hunting For Witches”
Not only is the band’s progression from an already massive debut album something that should be studied but the lyrical content of pretty much every song on this, their sophomore album is a level of writing I’m aspiring to reach.
Kendrick Lamar – “Sing About Me, I’m Dying Of Thirst”
Needed to have at least one K-Dot record on here, and this one has had an impact on the way I’m trying to tell stories.
¥$, Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign – “PAID”
Really loved this whole album but this track in particular really inspired a lot of the production on “The Ascension (INKAWAMI)”.
&ME, Black Coffee, Keinemusik – “The Rapture pt.III”
This record has gone triple platinum on my phone. This track takes you on a real journey.
SZA, Isaiah Rashad – “Pretty Little Birds”
Beautiful conversational record. SZA’s voice is a joy and Isaiah Rashad verse is big.
Childish Gambino – “Feels Like Summer”
Great feel-good summer record. Paints a picture in your mind.
Justice – “Audio, Video, Disco.”
Love the energy in this record. Super simple, with serious energy.
Daft Punk – “Around The World”
Electronic legends with next level synth and programming work. No more needs said.
Editors – “Bones”
Love Jackknife Lee’s driving production across this whole album is a great example of being able to keep a consistent level of energy whilst staying interesting and inventive
Magic System – “1er Gaou”
This track, especially the vocals, inspired the sounds of the motherland across the EP – for sure on ‘IDWTG’.
