Dove Ellis – “Heaven Has No Wings”
Galway-born, Manchester-based folk maverick Dove Ellis comes out from the shadows to support Geese on their US tour and share his debut album, Blizzard, a self-produced, subtly sensational body of work. Lead single “Heaven Has No Wings” is one of the album’s more upbeat and progressive tracks. A spiritual second coming of Jeff Buckley.
Audrey Hobert – “Sex and the city”
Rising pop tour de force Audrey Hobert unveils the self-directed video for “Sex and the city”, starring actor Will Price and extending the emotional world of her debut album Who’s the Clown?. Known for directing her own visuals — including viral standouts “Sue Me”, “Bowling Alley” and “Thirst Trap” — Audrey continues to cement herself as a one-woman creative engine.
Rosie Lowe – “Blue Christmas”
Singer-songwriter and producer extraordinaire Rosie Lowe returns with “Blue Christmas”, a spectral and cosy reimagining of the Elvis classic. Known for her atmospheric and deeply personal storytelling, Lowe transforms a festive staple into a bittersweet winter hymn, led by delicate vocals and rich, ambient production. What was once heartache wrapped in rock ’n’ roll becomes something softer, deeper, and wholly her own.
Greentea Peng – “Prisoners Round”
Greentea Peng steps back into view with “Prisoners Round”, a hypnotic, dub-inflected release produced by longtime collaborator Declan Gaffney. Minimal yet immersive, the track sees her lean into a darker, more reflective space, turning her sharp gaze toward the growing pressures of modern life. It’s raw, slow-burning and unbothered by the noise — a rhythmic exhale in a world that won’t stop tightening its grip.
Confidence Man – “17”
Aussie party-starters Confidence Man are back at it. The loveable ravers have kicked off a new era with the release of a new club-centric EP, “Active Scenes Vol One”, which boasts three remixes and two new original tunes – the standout of which being the euphoric “17”.
Meekz – “EAZY”
Continuing to re-inform his reputation at the tip of UK rap’s iceberg, Mancunian mainstay Meekz is bringing a 90s swagger to his new era. Latest cut “EAZY” is dark and atmospheric yet sharp and suave, a reminder of the rapper’s ceiling-less craft and charisma.
Skin on Skin – “Where You Need To Be”
Excellent Australian DJ/producer Skin On Skin has delivered a musically vast and technically crisp new mixtape, “Home Is True”. He, for the first time, uses his own vocals on a few tracks, with “Where You Need To Be” proving a specifically affecting and effective effort.
vegas water taxi – “brat summer”
East London’s vegas water delivers “brat summer”, a sardonic country-indie stomper from their upcoming EP “first time listener” (out 6 February). The track closes the project in absurdist fashion — for those who didn’t participate in “brat summer”, imagine a dystopian police-state, complete with podcasts as propaganda and a finale that sees the protagonist and Matty Healy set fire to the city of LA. It’s sharp, witty, and unabashedly weird, wrapping social commentary in VWT’s trademark mix of twangy riffs, British deadpan, and cultural chaos.
samxemma – “Me forever :(“
samxemma unleashes a dizzying hit of serotonin-soaked electro-pop. Following BBC Radio 1’s support and their riotous EP “HOT PEOPLE MAKE HOT MUSIC”, the Manchester-based duo deliver another maximalist blast of club-ready catharsis. Over spiralling synths and punchy percussion, Emma tackles digital dread with razor-sharp humour — too exhausted to go out, too online to log off, and stuck being herself forever.
Shallipopi ft. WizKid – “Like That”
Nigerian hitmaker Shallipopi has today unleashed his latest album, AURACLE, his most sonically varied and thematically focused work to date. A standout moment comes with “Like That”, a vibrant, bouncy link-up with fellow Afro general WizKid.
Young Jonn ft. Rema – “Lalala”
Nigerian talent Young Jonn is back with his colourful and characterful new album, Blue Disco. There’s plenty of standout moments on the LP, not least a vivacious, romantic collaboration with fellow heavyweight Rema.
Kah-Lo – “Somersaults”
Groovy R&B at its most playful and potent, the new single and video from Kah-Lo is a hell of a lot of fun. Visually retro-inspired and sonically soaring and sophisticated, it’s one of the strongest releases to date from the rising talent.
V.I.C – “Cole Palmer”
Raw, stylish, and disruptive, UK rap star V.I.C delivers pure lyrical ferocity and intellect across “Cole Palmer.” Cutting through the menacing backdrop with ease, the young artist and producer continues to embody the hunger, hustle, and grit necessary to achieve greatness.
Heidi Curtis – “Undone”
The latest Geordie set to make an impact on the wider British scene, 24-year-old singer-songwriter Heidi Curtis delivers a cinematic and compelling indie rock jam with “Undone”. Brisk and bohemian with a great vocal performance, the track suggests Curtis could be in for a significant breakthrough in ’26.
Charlie Jeer – “Mona Lisa”
It’s been a breakthrough year for jazz house riser Charlie Jeer, with impressive streaming stats and a finding of his effortless sound. His debut EP “Everything Is Temporary” is now out in the world, with lead single “Mona Lisa” being a gorgeous standout slice of musical goodness.
Truman – “BUZZIN”
London-born artist, rapper, and poet Truman releases “BUZZIN” – a potent cut that offers the first glimpse of his forthcoming album, Kid Raise Kid, due early next year. Driven by punchy, syncopated production from Jakwob, the track captures adolescence, identity, and the harsh realities of his own upbringing.
Soane – “She Was“
French-Moroccan artist Soane unveils her striking new EP “She Was”. Across five tracks, the project forms a graceful and profoundly expressive body of work, shaped by traces of her former self – someone who once loved gently and learned to find strength in stillness.
Murkage Dave – “RNA”
Murkage Dave is amping up the ante ahead of the release of his new album, Brut Thoughts. Leading the rollout charge is the fresh single, “RNA”, a cold-to-the-touch but tender track depicting the pressures and inner wrestling felt with modern life, grief, and resilience. Written in the period of Murkage’s father’s death, “RNA” is melancholic and earnest, but gripping nonetheless.
