Daniel Caesar’s slice of soulful serenity, Sampha celebrates two years of LAHAI, and Puma Blue returns, as wonderfully nocturnal as ever. It’s Wonderlist.
Daniel Caesar ft. Sampha – “Rain Down”
The wildly talented Daniel Caeser returns with this latest studio album, Son Of Spergy, a tonally decadent, technically breathtaking collection of cuts. There’s an array of stunning features – from Blood Orange to Yebba and Bon Iver, and the incredible Sampha, who offers a gorgeous counter melody on the record’s opener, “Rain Down”.
Sampha – “Cumulus / Memory”
It’s been two years since Sampha released his sophomore album LAHAI. And 24 months later, the record goes down as one of the decade’s very best so far. To commemorate the occasion, the musician, songwriter and producer unveils a sprawling yet understated epilogue single, “Cumulus / Memory”, a near seven-minute trip into the unmatchable sonic utopia he has become synonymous with.
Puma Blue – “Desire”
South-London born, Atlanta-based artist Puma Blue – the moniker of Jacob Allen – has been one of the most quietly engrossing artists on the globe for some years now. He’s back, sharing news of a forthcoming album, Croak Dream, set for release in early February. Our first glimpse is “Desire”, a subtly intoxicating gem that marries a mirage of musical ideas into something esoteric and oddly serene.
Florence Road – “Miss”
Florence Road are one of the breakout bands of 2025. Their debut EP “Fall Back” took your breath away, and this new look at their band’s dense and daring artistic outlook flashes with fresh vivacity. “Miss” moves through phases with a confidence beyond their tender experience.
Nieve Ella – “Lucky Girl”
West Midlands singer-songwriter Nieve Ella is really shaping her sound with “Lucky Girl”. It’s her most affecting, assured and emotionally mature release to date, with walls of guitars laying the foundations of a quite stunning vocal showing.
Dove Ellis – “Love Is”
Dove Ellis is the chosen one. The Irish musician is the lucky artist who will be supporting the best band on the planet right now on their forthcoming US tour. Ellis’ own debut album is set for release in early December, and this latest teaser, “Love Is”, is, honestly, astounding. One of the best new artists you’ll have heard this year.
Tiana Major9 ft. Yebba – “Always”
This duet is the stuff of dreams for R&B fans. Announcing their debut album, Tiana Major9 celebrates the announcement by sharing a stunning new single, “Always”, featuring Memphis serenader Yebba. It’s a spellbinding cut with dazzling vocals and piercing songwriting.
Mei Semones – “Kurayami”
She might have released one of the best debut albums of the year in May with her electric Animaru. But there’s no rest for the wicked. Mei Semones is back with a double-sided single, including the majestic, complex and wonderfully playful “Kurayami”.
Skye Newman – “FU & UF”
South East London to the world – or at least that’s what singer-songwriter Skye Newman is leading with on the day of her EP release. It’s one brimming with lyrical grit, a mirror to emotion that she articulates in a way that is so earnest and wholeheartedly Skye, as well as those gorgeous, husky vocals we’ve grown to love. Lead single “FU & UF” will tear at your heartstrings.
Spiritual Cramp ft. Sharon Van Etten – “You’ve Got My Number”
San Fran punk rockers Spiritual Cramp have dropped an excellent sophomore album in RUDE. They’ve gone all out – enlisting the legendary Sharon Van Etten for the atmospheric slow-builder lead single “You’ve Got My Number”. It’s a little spooky, a little vibrant and very anthemic.
Samm Henshaw – “Get Back”
Samm Henshaw is back and teasing us some more ahead of his forthcoming album, It Could Be Worse, with a new single, “Get Back.” The South Londoner’s blunt, blasé and bluesy tone rings truer than ever with this blissful track that twinkles with soft percussion and echoes enchantingly with gorgeous harmonies and smooth melodies.
Elujay – “Hyundai”
There’s so much character in this new single from Elujay. The critically acclaimed artist and producer will be sharing his new record, A Constant Charade, on 21st November, and his latest teaser raises anticipation tenfold. “Hyundai” is beautiful, groovy, and deeply intimate.
Lauren Auder – “yes”
Lauren Auder wants you to say “yes” with her first piece of new material since 2023. Written and co-produced with long-time collaborators dviance, Auder unleashes a new chapter, one laced with house-influenced pianos, Madchester-esque grooves and an enriching, narrative-led lyrical delivery. It’s an exciting self-exploration of a new sound that re-establishes her as a riveting voice within pop.
Sean Solomon – “Shooting Star”
Los Angeles native Sean Solomon has signed to ANTI- Records and shared and irrelevant new single. “Shooting Star” has a Neutral Milk Hotel core and a Pavement edge, the type of folk-tinged ballad that makes you feel something stirring in the pit of your stomach.
Rory Sweeney ft. Risteárd Ó hAodha – “Morning Song”
Twisting together dense experimentation and Irish folklore, Old Earth, the new album from electronic orchestrator Rory Sweeney is a quiet triumph. Lead track “Morning Song” features Risteárd Ó hAodha, and is a slow-burning, avant-garde beauty of a cut.
Marti Perramon – “Peace Sign”
The boy from Barcelona with great charm and charisma is adding some shine to our weekends with the latest single from his forthcoming EP, “Peace Sign.” Having moved to London from the Spanish city as a kid, this new song (and wider body of work) is his telling of a young man making peace with who he is and the life he’s creating for himself.
Odeal ft. Leon Thomas – “Miami”
R&B soulster Odeal is back with “Miami”, a single from his seven-track EP, “The Summer That Saved Me”. It was so good the first time, he just had to do it again — this time with visuals. And, of course, who better to make us fall in love with summer while in the fall more than Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-producer extraordinaire Leon Thomas. It’s warm and intimate, freeing and reflective, mirroring the headspace he was in as he embarked on writing this song particularly.
Boj – “Shane / After Hours”
Alté trailblazer BOJ returns with Duplicity, his sixth studio album, teased by double single “After Hours” featuring French-Gabonese singer Anaïs Cardot, and “Shana” with Show Dem Camp and Joey B. “After Hours” ushers in BOJ’s loverboy era; an easy breezy, smooth, and alluring experience — while “Shana” brings a club-ready bounce that nods to his Lagos roots. Together, they hint at Duplicity’s layered soundscape: in a way that is effortlessly and infectiously BOJ — the pioneer still evolving the Alté movement he helped create.
Alysha – “Red Wine”
London-based songstress Alysha returns with “Red Wine” – a captivating trip-hop-inspired single built on stripped-back production that finds power in restraint. Minimal beats and atmospheric textures frame her rich vocals as she explores jealousy, emotion, and defiance.
yingge – “Bleach”
British-Chinese musician yingge is “Bleach” and toning things with his new single. The jagged, adrenaline-packed track is an ode to memory, obsession, and the art of letting go. His first release since the acclaimed Once On This Island, the track channels early-2000s pop-punk nostalgia through a sharp, modern lens. With punchy riffs, playful chants, and a lingering ache beneath the gloss, “Bleach” is simultaneously sun-drenched and stained — a messy, magnetic reminder that some things are easier to dye over than forget.
Home Countries – “Roundabout”
There’s a new Humdrum to dance to the beat of, thanks to alt-pop band Home Counties. The 10-track album is the next step up from their critically-acclaimed debut, Exactly As It Seems, and is dancier yet more refined, with an emphasis on good groove and melodies, and dabbling, lyrically, in melancholy. “Roundabouts” is the lead single and a standout.
