Charli xcx gets ever more cinematic, Nia Smith is back with another gem, and Lava La Rue and Foster The People join forces – it’s Wonderlist!
Charli XCX – “House”
Charli, who’s increasingly immersed in the film world, unveils “House,” a first taste of her Wuthering Heights soundtrack, featuring a stirring spoken contribution from the Velvet Underground’s John Cale. With a video directed by Mitch Ryan, the track leans into an “elegant and brutal” sonic world inspired by Cale’s own words, a complete pivot from her previous album.
Nia Smith – “Limit”
Nia Smith returns with “Limit,” built around a James Blake sample of “Limit to Your Love,” transforming it into a soulful ultimatum with bluesy piano and a voice full of authority. Shaped over a year of experimentation, the track captures the power of letting go in a struggling relationship.
Lava La Rue & Foster The People – “JET LAGGED”
Lava La Rue joins up with Foster The People for “JET LAGGED,” a disco-punk-infused alt-pop rush brimming with shimmering synths, tight guitars, and euphoric energy. Inspired by the delirium of life in transit, the track captures the chaos and thrill of constant motion, blending 2000s dance-punk with Lava’s signature melodic flair — a vibrant, addictive reflection on touring, time zones, and living fully between cities.
UGLY – “Gallowine”
Alt-rock shapeshifters UGLY return with “Gallowine,” the first single from their debut album The South Facade, out in 2026. Described by the band as one of the album’s hardest-hitting tracks, and their favourite to perform, it’s packed with nonsensical words, bouncy guitars, and ambitious harmonies, shifting between heroic jubilation and chaotic, fantastical descent.
ENNY – “Selfridges”
ENNY is coming off the back of a pretty huge summer. For starters, she supported Jorja Smith throughout her North America tour and even headlined a couple of her own shows out there, including big cities like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. She also dropped another impressive track “Cabin Feva” and made appearances on Lyrical Lemonade and On The Radar. Her newest track “Selfridges” shows off her playful, confident attitude, rapping over a jazz-infused beat with her signature storytelling and acknowledging how she’s become one of the leading voices coming out of the UK.
Ceebo – “buzzball summer”
After flexing his Lambeth roots with his last project LAMBETHNOTLA, Ceebo is back with a new mixtape titled blair babies. Collaborating with rising UK acts including Jim Legxacy and Chef Bkay, the project sees him talk about the post-New Labour landscape in the UK. His highlight track “buzzball summer” definitely has the elements of a late summer banger with an addictive hook.
Summer Walker ft. Mariah the Scientist – “Robbed You”
One of American R&B’s most undeniable and esteemed names, for her latest album, Finally Over It, Summer Walker concocts an all-star feature cast including Doja Cat, Anderson. Paak, 21 Savage, GloRilla, and Mariah the Scientist. The latter features on “Robbed You”, a sizzling early track list standout.
Skyla Tylaa – “Vele Uyena (Risk It All)”
At just 24, Skyla Tylaa’s resumé is already looking incredibly stacked. From DJing for the likes of Drake, Central Cee and Rema to her first sold-out headline show at Fabric, London to even playing Big Smoke and Honey Dijon’s Ibiza residency, it’s safe to say that she’s no longer an up-and-comer. Her newest track “Vele Uyena (Risk It All)” with JAZZWRLD, Thukuthela, Elaine and her saxophonist Solaariss is spacey, a little extraterrestrial and definite soundtrack for the upcoming winter months.
Antony Szmierek – “The Face You Make When It’s Raining”
Antony Szmierek’s been making waves with his critically-acclaimed album Service Station At The End Of The Universe, so much so that he had to drop a digital deluxe version with two new tracks. “The Face You Make When It’s Raining” is one of those – a wavy, melodic take on UKG with a northern influence, not to mention the effortlessly smooth vocals from Mancunian talent Yves Jones.
Alewya ft. Dagmawit Ameha – “Night Drive”
Three years since her last release, London-based artist and curator Alewya returns with a sonic haven of nocturnal atmosphere, “Night Drive”. Quietly intoxicating, the track combines ambient electronica with glistening R&B and performative vocals to great effect.
Nadia Loren – “Laundrette”
Rising pop girl Nadia Loren is stepping firmly into her main-character era. Ahead of her debut EP Kiss & Drive, she drops “Laundrette” – recently crowned BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week — and it’s her most vivid world-build yet. A pastel-dizzy blur of crushes, comedowns, and everything in between, “Laundrette” spins Nadia’s trademark happy-sad pop rhythms into something cinematic, think: glossy production, coming-of-age confessions, and that stomach-flip moment when you realise you’re falling for someone. With Britpop staples like Bowie and The Velvet Underground as her sonic foundations, and inspired by the chart giants (Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Lorde), Nadia folds nostalgia and youthful urgency into a universe that feels both familiar and entirely her own.
J Appiah – “FATHER.”
Fresh from tour with Gorillaz and Michael Kiwanuka, Hackney-born talent J Appiah delivers a powerful music video for “FATHER.” – taken from his debut album ‘That’s the Thing About Time.’ Written in the aftermath of his father’s passing, the introspective cut threads loss and renewal through a lens of reflection and unexpected closure.
Sekou – “In A World We Don’t Belong Pt. 1”
British starboy Sekou is stepping into his most defined era yet. His new 5-track project, “In A World We Don’t Belong Pt. 1”, finds him peeling back the layers and leaning fully into the influences shaping his now unmistakable sound. Alongside the already-adored “Catching Bodies” and “Never Gunna Give You Up,” the mixtape introduces three new cuts: “About Last Night,” “Keep My Love,” and the tender standout “Love Language.” The latter is a soft, slow-burning ballad that puts his velvet vocals front and centre, tracing vulnerability with effortless finesse.
Seyi Vibez – Fuji Moto
Rising Nigerian singer-songwriter Seyi Vibez has shared his highly anticipated 14-track album, Fuji Moto. The project features an impressive lineup including US Rap heavyweights French Montana, Trippie Redd, and NLE Choppa and is an experimental work full of vulnerability and innovation that reflect both his sonic and artistic growth.
Boj – “Contraband”
It’s a great week for Boj fans, as the Alté pioneer returns with a double single, “Contraband” featuring Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Olamide and “Diamonds” featuring Nigerians fasting rising star Mavo. They have also shared the “Diamonds” music video, both releases set the stage for his upcoming sixth studio album, Duplicity, out 5th December. Both tracks showcase BOJ at his most experimental and confident, pushing the Alté sound he helped define into bold new territory.
Reuben Aziz – “stuck on us”
Rising singer-rapper Reuben Aziz returns with a sultry offering with “stuck on us” which bridges his influences of Michael Jackson and PartyNextDoor. The track highlights his captivating vocals that switch between his sped-up vocals that sit at the core of his DNA.
BANA – “Ripple Effect”
Hot on the heels of her intoxicating, dance-infused single “Air”, and subsequent remixes from a slew of electronic music’s finest—Meg Ward, Josh Parkinson, Ossie—rising pop talent BANA returns with another electrifying release, “Ripple Effect”. The new offering pulses with crisp percussion and shimmering synths, providing a sleek, rhythmic backdrop for BANA’s effortlessly smooth vocals.
