Gorillaz share their latest album teaser, underscores continues to reinvent herself, and LAUSSE THE CAT is finally back. It’s Wonderlist!
Gorillaz ft. IDLES – “The God of Lying”
The iconic, enigmatic collective led by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett just keeps getting better. Gorillaz are gearing up to share their new studio album, The Mountain, next year, and have, with this new cut, shared a trio of teasers. This latest offering, “The God of Lying”, is a hazy, off-kilter and hypnotic slice of Gorillaz-pop featuring IDLES frontman Joe Tablot, as well as Ajay Prasanna on bansuri and percussion by Viraj Acharya.
LAUSSE THE CAT – “I.D.W.G.A.J”
It’s a glorious week for LAUSSE THE CAT fans. The anonymous rapper, instrumentalist and producer hasn’t released music in six years – seven years since his near-perfect debut and previously only project, The Girl, the Cat and the Tree – and was completely off grid during those years. Now, though, we’re welcomed into Chapter Two of this magical, mischievous and monumental tale. The Mocking Stars delivers – it’s a must-hear for any music fan. Second track “I.D.W.G.A.J” is an early standout.
underscores – “Do It”
Growing out her experimental core and centring in on her musical outlook, the ever-engaging and sonically striking underscores follow collaborations with Danny Brown and oklou with a vivacious, rhythmically compelling new single. “Do It” is among the most easily digestible songs of her avant-garde canon, yet it still pushes boundaries in every facet.
Girl Group – “She Goes”
Yet to hop on Girl Group’s bandwagon? The odds might’ve never been more in your favour. The Liverpool-based Wonderland alumni are back with a new single, “She Goes”, proving no momentum has been lost since their June-released EP “Think They’re Looking, Let’s Perform.” Infectious and disco-tinged, the track is a dance-floor banger to warm up the autumnal chill creeping in from outside. Luckily, in Girl Group’s universe, there’s no such thing as a gloomy day!
Deb Never – “I’ve Been Sleeping”
Deb Never is a unique and progressive alt pop talent – proving her sonic adeptness yet again with the release of a slick double-pronged single. “I’ve Been Sleeping” is the more noteworthy, offering heady, glistening vocals atop a deep, ominous and intoxicating sonic backdrop. 2026 feels huge for her.
Ledbyher – “What’s The Reason”
Following a feature on Sainté’s latest project and support slots for Biig Piig and ian, one of UK underground rap’s most exciting risers Ledbyher is ending her breakthrough 2025 with a silky smooth new single, “What’s The Reason”. With her typically laidback charisma ever present, she once again shows her class and craft.
Charlotte Day Wilson – “Selfish”
Grammy-nominated polymath Charlotte Day Wilson is back for the first time since last year’s wonderful day, Cyan Blue, sharing a jazz-inflected new single, “Selfish”. Made alongside Saya Gray, Ace G & Braden Sauder, it’s a slick, superbly produced and immediately catchy musical treat.
Chloe Slater – “War Crimes”
Following a year of sold-out headline tours and critical acclaim, Chloe Slater returns with “War Crimes”. A very important, raw and urgent protest song that channels personal truth and political conviction, responding to the genocide of Palestinians and the UK government’s complicity with striking clarity and courage. Driven by jagged guitars, hypnotic basslines, and Slater’s expressive vocals, the track simmers with quiet fury before erupting into cathartic release.
dexter in the newsagent – “Stranger to love”
South London talent dexer in the newsagent has, after much anticipation, shared her first full-length project in the shape of mixtape “Time Flies”. It’s an enduring, intimate and uplifting project, with “Stranger to love” being our personal fave.
Khruangbin – “White Gloves ii”
Texan trio Khruangbin are going back to their roots. A decade after recording their debut album in a Central Texas barn, Laura Lee, Mark Speer, and DJ Johnson return to the same grounds to reimagine The Universe Smiles Upon You. More than a nostalgia trip, the project stands as a reflection on friendship and creative partnership – a look back at everything the trio have built over the past ten years. Recorded amid cold snaps and space heaters, these ten new renditions capture the sound of three musicians rediscovering where it all began, stripping away expectation and playing purely for the joy of it all. The gentle wonder of “White Gloves ii” provides the lead single.
KILIMANJARO – “Elements”
One of the hottest producers/DJs in the game right now, London-based Zambian-Scottish artist KILIMANJARO has announced a new EP, “KUSAMBILA (First Phase)”, is set for release at the end of the month. Teaser cut “Elements” is a propulsive, pack-a-punch banger of chanted vocals and siren-like synth work.
PVA – “Enough”
London’s PVA return today with “Enough”, the new single from their forthcoming second album, No More Like This, out next January, accompanied by a self-directed visualiser and news of their biggest headline tour to date. With this single, the trio pushes further into a tactile, emotionally charged world, blending experimental electronica, R&B, alt-rock, and sensual pop into something that feels very their own.
JT – “Girls Gone Wild”
Flying into her new era with confidence and attitude, JT’s new anthem, “Girls Gone Wild” is an igniting of female empowerment. Atop a bouncy and bodacious beat, the US rap star keeps it light lyrically, delivering an assured and potent performance.
rum.gold – “Act of God / Force Majeure”
A tour de force of emotionality and technical nous, rum.gold is approaching his soulful musical journey with a unique lens. New five-track “Disc 2 (Act of God)” is the first half of a two part album, Is There Anybody Home?, out next March. It comes accompanied by this gorgeous, cinematic visual.
Charlotte de Witte – “Higher”
Belgian techno heavyweight Charlotte de Witte garnishes her legacy ever further with the release of a wonderfully immersive self-titled debut album. There are several standout cuts, not least “Higher”, with its stealthy sonic progression, enthralling cinematic compass and deft rhythmic intricacy.
These New South Whales – “BIG MACHINE”
Aussie rockers These New South Whales continue to up the hype surrounding their forthcoming new album, GODSPEED, dropping 28 November, with the release of another electric anthem. “BIG MACHINE” is maximalist and digestible punk rock at its best, with heavy guitars and rousing vocals aplenty.
Witch Post – “Twin Fawn”
Set to embark on their EU and UK tour, shining duo Witch Post makes another step into their gorgeous becoming with new single Twin Fawn. The folk-fused, slow-pop meets indie rock ballad. For just over four minutes, we’re taken on a country-road journey of yearning, chasing memories of disjointed times – times that felt simpler. It’s endearing, enchanting and slightly wrenching, but ultimately, it’s true.
KhakiKid – “Moved On”
Ahead of his show at the end of the month at Dublin’s iconic 3Olympia Theatre, Irish-Libyan rapper KhakiKid presents a vibrant, groove-laden new feel-good cut, “Moved On”. Blessed with a zippy flow and dynamic performance, the rising talent continues to pave his way in the thriving Irish rap scene.
BLK ODYSSY – “POSSESSED”
BLK ODYSSY is as innovative and immersive as ever on his fourth studio album, MOOD CONTROL. Focus single “POSSESSED” blends in rock influences with an atmospheric, cinematic backdrop, whilst the artist delivers a spine-tingling vocal performance.
Blue Lab Beats – “North London Pace”
Grammy Award-winning, London-based jazz duo Blue Lab Beats are back for some blues with their new ode to one of the four corners of the city with “North London Pace”. After a buzzy display at their recent Jazz Cafe headlining show, they’ve blessed this Friday with a new single from their upcoming fifth studio album, which is set to come out next year. The track gives us some insight (and excitement) into a production duo’s expanding sonic sensibilities.
Nayana AB ft. Saiming – “Madness”
Potent, affecting, present; the new collaboration between alt R&B artist Nayana AB and South London rapper Saiming is a sophisticated portrayal of worldly issues. “Madness” is thoughtful yet entertaining – a hard balance to strike in less than four minutes.
piri & tommy – “magic”
UK genre-bending duo piri & tommy are back with a brand new EP, “magic!”. Brimming with colour and cadence, the project is sonically shapeshifting and light on the listen, with the closer and title-track proving particularly vivacious.
Raf-Saperra – “Crook”
Reuniting with long-time collaborator Taj Aulakh, Raf-Saperra delivers “Crook”, a fierce yet soulful track that fuses the raw energy of East Coast hip-hop with the rhythmic pulse of Punjabi folk and Bhangra. A powerful statement of intent, the single showcases Raf’s rare ability to merge his commanding Punjabi vocal heritage with rap influences. The result is both street-tough and dance floor-ready, a gritty, celebratory anthem that captures the duality of his sound.
SAÜD ft. Belly – “Good Fellas”
Saudi producer SAÜD makes a bouncy return with new single “Good Fellas” featuring Palestinian-Canadian rapper Belly. The track, released today, is the first to come from his forthcoming project, set to arrive next year. He begins this new chapter with a record that serves as a sure, almost-nostalgic nod to hip-hop and the powers that be, with punchy, witty lyrics and soothing, soulful melodies – and, as expected, hard-hitting production that reminds us of SAÜD’s dedication to his craft and place as an exciting up-and-comer.
Allie X – “7th Floor”
Toronto-born, LA-based singer, songwriter and producer Allie X steps out of the theatre of her modernistic previous album and strips her sound back to its core. Returning to the piano for the first time in a decade, she drops a new full-length, Happiness Is Gonna Get You, a personal and intimate album full of delicate balladry – the most emblematic of such being “7th Floor”.
Demob Happy – “No Man Left Behind”
Cult favourite garage rockers Demob Happy are back with news of a fourth studio album, The Grown Ups Are Talking, set for release at the backend of January via Milk Parlour Records. First teaser, “Who Should I Say Is Calling?”, is a gritty, confident return.
JERUB – “The Wonder Years”
Following the success of his latest single “Kumbaya”, his highest-streaming release to date, Nigeria-born, Nottingham-raised rising star JERUB returns with his new mixtape, “The Wonder Years”. Spanning seven tracks, the project pays homage to the power of the present, weaving together deeply personal and vulnerable lyricism with his signature piano-tinged pop-soul sound.
Carrie Baxter – “Loved You Before”
Blending neo-soul, R&B, and jazz with heartfelt storytelling, Carrie Baxter’s new single ‘Loved You Before’ is a tender love song that captures the comfort, passion, and quiet magic of a love that feels destined.
