GRACE ENGER – “WELL HERE WE ARE”

The singer-songwriter unveils a visceral new EP, brimming with love ballads and colourful instrumentation.

Just in time for the last few weekends of summer festivals, soirees and gatherings, Grace Enger releases her new EP “Well Here We Are” and it’s filled with pop ballads perfect for sending of the season.

No stranger to songwriting and performing, self-proclaiming her love for music from a young age, becoming an artist was always on the cards for the New Jersey artist. Now, years on from her first foray into the music world, Enger is quickly rising to stardom, with 2023 being her biggest year yet, boasting a supporting spot on Maisie Peters current US tour.

Sitting pretty next to her previously released singles, “The Neighborhood”, “Bad Guy”, “When It Was Over” and “The Cut” on the EP track-list are new hits “20”, “Imytm”, and “Me to You”. Included on the seven-song extended project are impressive contributions from Dan Wilson and Alexander 23, who formerly worked with the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift and Adele.

Across the whole project, Enger explores a variety of themes and styles, Enger herself describing the project as “all of the different faces on the cover art represent how many different people I was while making these songs: student, working professional, teenager, adult, naive, mature, New Yorker, Angelino transplant, insecure, yet never so certain. These seven songs were birthed from the different identities I was leaving behind while I grew into new ones and each song feels like me questioning Is this really how this all works? as I figure out the world in my early 20s.”

We’d be lying if we didn’t say we’ve had all seven tracks on repeat in the office, readily awaiting the festival weekend ahead.
