Everyone is welcome at W Hotels, and this month, W London is celebrating LGBTQIA+ communities with something extra special. Set in the heart of Soho, the hotel is in the prime spot for a vibrant celebration during Pride. Teaming up with W Amsterdam, Pride at W is a week-long series of events at both locations that fall under their shared slogan: “No matter who or where you are, at a W Hotel, there’s always ‘room for you’”. Covering everything from masterclasses to educational panels to parties, there’s something for everyone.
Starting on June 28 with a Drag Makeup Masterclass in partnership with MAC Cosmetics’ charity initiative Viva Glam, the weeklong series offers fun and thought provoking activities. A panel discussion with Josh Harrison, DJ and Founder of OUTHAUS, and a Heels Masterclass take us into July 1 for the Pride Parade — where W is hosting a MAC Cosmetics stall for makeup touch-ups and an afterparty with live performances, DJs, dancers, and more.
To recover, Sunday is focused on wellness, with guided meditation sessions led by the trans-led grassroots charity Not A Phase. Lastly, on July 6, My Genderation will present their short films celebrating trans lives. Throughout the week, and through the end of Amsterdam Pride on August 6, the bar at W will also serve a limited-edition Pride cocktail. Proceeds from the drink, Dash of Lavender, Not A Phase.
W Hotels has redefined hospitality for over two decades, starting in New York City and expanding throughout the globe with over 60 hotels. Always placing an emphasis on inclusion and diversity, the hotel’s week of Pride events is not surprising — although the exciting lineup certainly is!
