Hendricks Gin have announced a new series of short films, celebrating Scottish creators and innovators. Titled An Unusual Slice of Scotland, the series is hosted by Hendricks Global Brand Ambassador Ally Martin. As Ally travels his home country, he meets with a collection of one-of-a-kind individuals who create projects and have adventures inspired by expressions of Hendrick’s.

We are excited to exclusively premiere the first episode, The Hendrick’s Guide to the Moon. Ally Martin travels to Fairlie Moor in North Ayrshire to speak with John Bonsor, the Rocketeer behind International Rocket Week. As Ally hears about the expert’s early interest in the subject, sees inside his workshop, and learns about the community he has fostered, we gain an insight into the intricate hobby — or as John describes it, a “way of life”. John built a rocket specifically for Henrick’s, with the perfect fit for a bottle of Lunar gin. In the video, we see the pair launch it into the sky — gin and all. Settling down to reflect on the event, Ally and John share a cocktail to celebrate.
