PREMIERE: SANDANCER FT. NATE WILLIAMS — “BREATHE”

The introspective artist and producer releases his fourth single as a solo act, a complex layering of electronic sonics and soulful R&B vocals.

Howard Whiddett, or Sandancer as he is now known, is releasing his debut solo EP after a career in the electronic duo Qtier. A musician and producer, he consistently experiments and pushes the boundaries of electronic music, creating atmospheric sounds with important messages that need to be heard.

Sandancer has a unique ability to create enigmatic, mysterious, and often eerie soundscapes through his meaningful music — and his newest release, “Breathe (feat. Nate Williams)”, is no exception. A cinematic soundscape full of intricate yet calm electronic sonics and captivating vocals, it features layers upon layers of intrigue that build to immerse listeners in the complexity of its dynamics.

Lyrically, the track is an introspective and intimate discussion of acceptance, letting go of past regrets, and moving forward with peace of mind. Working with Nate Williams, who he met while playing on the Jamiroquai Automaton tour, allowed for a fresh medley of synth and R&B that is unlike any other in the field.

Discussing “Breathe (feat. Nate Williams)”, Sandancer says, “With this one I took down the tempo while Nate’s vocal reflects on past regrets and works through finding acceptance. In the chorus we transition from the introspective theme present in my previous tracks and attempt to just chill for a moment or two.”
