Louis Vuitton showed their Prefall 2023 collection at the Jamsugyo Bridge in Seoul. The set was designed by Squid Game director Hwang Dong-Hyuk, who played with light to reflect the energy of the architecture’s past, present, and future. Connecting Gangnam and Gangbuk, the bridge is reactive to the motion of the water, serving as a fitting backdrop to a collection all about transformation. From Louis Vuitton’s origins in travel to its contemporary design ethos, the brand brings its audience on a trip from history to innovation, weaving French sophistication with daring new ideas. Timeless, essential pieces are shown in new ways, as accent shoulders, deep v-necks, and bold blues and reds steal the show. Checkered patterns, stripes, and subtle monograms pair with both tailored suiting and experimental silhouettes, creating a versatile collection of contemporary femininity.
