Rising star MIIA teams up with Vaarin, to present us with their newest beautiful track “Skin of a Fool”. A blast of sentimentality drenched with majestic energy, the evidently irresistible single cuts straight into the soul with its magical soundscape, built up with heavy drums and embellished with unshielded lyrics.

Exploring the depths of her psyche, MIIA used this collaboration as a way to venture into the depths of her anxieties and speaking on the single she details: “I didn’t know Vaarin that well, but I admired her. Her truth was just so clear to me. We wrote “Skin of a Fool” during a vulnerable conversation about feelings we had felt surrounding not being good enough. Our producer, Joachim “J RYGGS”, already had these enchanting words that immediately spoke to us. You need to allow darkness to “get out” of it. And sometimes, in order to do that, you need to know that you’re not alone. You need to let love in – and only when you do that you can finally be free”.

MIIA is no stranger to the industry having been signed at the age of 14 and releasing her widely loved single “Dynasty” in 2016, which took the world by storm. Understanding the importance of taking a step back and re-establishing one’s sense of self, the dedicated star had a much-needed break but is back and ready with her debut EP due in 2023. MIIA and Vaarin have succeeded in devising a powerful story and it’s not hard to predict that this will be the song swarming everyone’s playlist this season.
