VERSACE

The House unveils its Fall/Winter 2023 collection, steeped in craftsmanship and luxury.

Versace’s latest collection heralds luxury, and the expert artisans who craft it up. Aimed at innovators and changers of the world, the collection is inspired by the energy and power of Hollywood. Featuring bespoke Versace fabrics crafted in collaboration with archival suppliers – texture, tactility, and hand-feel are emphasised.

The silhouettes draws on Atelier Versace craftsmanship and construction, with dresses featuring folded structural busts, fluted necklines, and rounded shoulders. Signature Versace straight-shouldered tailoring enhances an hourglass shape, while box-pleat A-line skirts and dresses show expertise in cut with frontal projected kick volumes. A deep understanding of the body results in body-sensitive cuts and cutaways.

Where colour is concerned, the collection is anchored in foundational colours of black, caramel, and chocolate, with secondary anthracite grey, dahlia apricot, turquoise and pink referencing Versace colour palettes of the early 2000s. The collection features animal prints from the Versace archive, including crocodile and Dalmatian, as well as a graphic multi-floral motif with falling flowers.

For Donatella Versace, Los Angeles is a natural home for the collection because the city shares the DNA of energy, power, creativity, and imagination with the brand. The collection is a celebration of the lessons learned in the Atelier, applied to ready-to-wear, and a wardrobe for the people who champion innovators and changers of the world.
