Social media mogul and rising indie-pop artist Jiubel has released his debut EP titled “Ren”. Known for turning unorthodox prompts from his following into 30-second, dark humor-infused songs, Jiubel has acquired over 2.6 million followers on TikTok. As he ventures out into music and continues to foster his artistry, the 21-year-old Miami native hopes that through his music, he can resonate with people, reminding them that they aren’t alone in their struggles the “Jiubel way.”

Ren – the title of his EP – directly translates to lotus in Japanese, symbolizing rebirth and rejuvenation, a fitting title for the hypnotizing 6-track offering which sees the multi-talented musician come into his own from both lyrical and sonic standpoint. Jiubel is adamant that a sense of community is fostered with his listeners, so they can constantly pour into one another – much like the cycle of a lotus flower.

A raw and dreamy look into the plight of a young person today, the track “Deceived” is an ethereal sonic daydream. The song’s melody is an earworm, and its homemade indie pop vibe is certain to never leave your head.
