We’ve learnt about the dress, we’ve caught glimpses of it being worn down the runway, and now, Iris Van Herpen’s collaborative effort with Magnum is brought to life in a spellbinding visual — where Iris takes us through the meticulous journey in which the dress was created. Now, when we first heard of the dress – the first ever haute couture creation to be constructed entirely from cocoa bean tusks – it was difficult to put the concept into visuals. Yet just a few seconds into the BTS video shows the beans crushed, compressed and processed by innovative technology — resulting in 3D-printed accents and formations that blend together to exude the luxury elegance of couture.
