Whether it be suiting up as nobleman Paul Atreides in Dune, or picking up his top hat and candy cane in the forthcoming Wonka, there is rarely a role in which Timothée Chalamet cannot step into and detonate. So for someone with such a stratospheric range and blossoming career path, there is only one question left to ponder — what will he take on next?
Providing something for Chalamet to – quite literally – sink his teeth into, Director Luca Guadagnino returns with his new cannibalism-turned-romance feature, Bones & All. Marking their first collaboration since Call Me By Your Name, the new film centres around the novel of the same name by Camille DeAngelis.
Following a young woman and part-time cannibal named Maren, the feature depicts an unlikely love story between her and Lee — played by Timothée. While embarking on a cross-country trip together to locate Maren’s missing father, the pair slowly come to terms with the underlying causes of her questionable eating habits.
Though any flesh-eating plotline may not appeal to the fainthearted, the romance laced story poses a refreshing perspective on the gory concept — a welcomed departure from the stomach-turning angle of the likes of Fresh and Raw.
Rumoured to hit theatres in late 2022, the anticipation is hotter than ever for a trailer to drop…
