We all remember that show. Set under the twinkle of the LA moonlight along one of the most infamous streets to ever have existed, The Hollywood Walk of Fame, Gucci gave us the Love Parade. And, while the scenes of Macaulay Culkin taking to the catwalk were truly unforgettable, the Italian house is looking to transport you back to the Hidden Hills as it reveals the Gucci Love Parade campaign.

Lensed by Mert&Marcus, Creative Director Alessandro Michele has offered us a video in which cares are few and hedonism is rife. With food being flung across a grand dining room, hinting towards the irreverence and free-spirited nature of the setting in question, an instant joy prevails. The campaign is a feast both literally and visually, as we are invited to feed on the scenes of the likes of Beanie Feldstein, Jared Leto, Liu Wen, Miley Cyrus and Snoop Dogg meeting for an opulent banquet, filled with jewel-toned liquor, delicate treats dreamed up by a pâtisserie and, of course, full Gucci looks. And, what better place to host this array of stars than in one of LA’s most coveted hubs, Hollywood Boulevard?

“I thought about how my mother raised me as a devout worshipper of beauty,” explains Alessandro. “About the gift of dreaming, which I cannot go without. About the aura of cinema, which generates mythologies. This is why I chose Hollywood Boulevard.”

With the bombastic glamour of Gucci perfectly physicalized by the home of the movies, it becomes clear that Hollywood’s intangibly captivating essence has been ingrained in the house’s ethos once more, meaning that we can expect glitz galore and actor cameos of this exciting magnitude from Gucci all year long.
