Looking to rock us into a dreamlike trance is Garrett Paknis, who has just released his new otherworldly single, “Rhythm”. True to his reputation of mirroring his music with movement, Garrett pairs the release with a brand new music video — a gritty underground scene from London’s iconic Leake Street graffiti tunnel. Collaborating with rapper Bushy, the London-based queer artist performs every bar of his song through flowing movements that mesh effortlessly with his fluid spoken vocal style. Demonstrating his ability to transcend genres and boundaries, the singer blends symphonic melodies with beats reminiscent of old-school R&B. The result is enchanting, infectious and feel-good, and can be felt through every limb upon listening.

Talking of the new single, Garrett tells us, “We hope to share the message of unity, and ‘togetherness’,  encouraging people to remember that we’re one global family.  I’m a white gay dude and Bushy is a straight black dude… and we wanted to give the “peace, love, and music” vibe in this track. We just wanted to make a universal feel-good track – we’re getting out of winter, we’ve had a couple of tough years so this track is something for us all to dance to and “feel the rhythm in our heartbeat and feet”… am I right?”

Continuing his crusade to build a more understanding and welcoming world within his positivity-infused universe, Garrett continues to unite borders across sexuality and spirituality — keeping us all under one “Rhythm”. To watch the music video for the single, head below…
