With Valentine’s Day around the corner, it is only right that we put you on to the most romantic musical release of the week. Joining forces on track “Permanent”, ethereal artist LACES and Archie Faulks contemplate all things love.

With a melancholic tone presenting itself thanks to the trickle of piano keys and subtle atmospheric production, listeners will be transported into the depths of their feels, instantly. But, while a moody air may prevail, the track holds a much sweeter quality upon deeper inspection. With the vocals of the pair marrying together in perfect harmony, we are treated to romantic declarations and soul-barring confessions from those who find a partner, despite their affinity for solitude, as the track hopes to explore the never-ending quality of love. With the sound mirroring the track’s juxtaposing messaging, it becomes clear that this latest release is one of true depth.

“‘Permanent’ is the anti-love song – love song. It’s for the people that walk alone proudly and maybe carry some darkness with them. I’ve never been very comfortable allowing myself to rely on someone. I’ve never let myself believe that a partner would walk through life’s journey with me proudly, boldly, and authentically until I fell in love with my husband. This is a love confession and declaration of my respect for our bond. No matter what happens – this love is permanent and has made its mark on me forever,” explains LACES when discussing the messaging of the track.
