With the new year now officially in full swing, attentions have turned to the fashion world once more, as we attempt to brace ourselves for the endless Menswear displays synonymous with the beginning of the year. And, the house looking to kick things off with an almighty bang is Prada, as it takes to Italy to unveil its FW22 collection.
With the concept of work’s fundamental impact on our society at the forefront of the collection, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons looked to give the working man a wardrobe, elevated with elegant and celebratory sensibilities. With architectural structures rigidly presenting themselves in each look, longline coats and blazers boasted clean lines, resulting in the boxy silhouettes and sharp shoulders synonymous with what can now be dubbed as the forever-cool Prada uniform. However, while formality was key, that was not to say that Prada’s affinity for the eccentric was forgotten, as we were treated to vibrant faux fur-trimmed hems and the now-iconic flash of brightly coloured nylon that Prada fans have come to adore.
