It goes without saying, but this year has been hectic. Between Covid still having us in its grip and winter coming at us in full force, we’re in need of some wholesome vibes and House of El is providing with is new single “Push On”. Introducing us to a jazz soundscape filled with euphoric trumpets and ear-worming guitar strings, the artist gently takes us into his own warming world. Lead by a smooth groove, the artist keeps things simplistic before exploding into a eccentric chorus backed by a bluesy drum.
Opening up on the release, the artist said, “Black people are the most resilient people on earth!… we have had to be, seeing what my grandparents and great grandparents went through as immigrants to the UK, seeing what Black women still go through to this day across the world not to mention across the world inspired me to write this song. This song is a message that says no what you’re going through keep going and never quit and I hope that comes across no matter who listens. I always want to try and uplift people in my music and make you feel something. If that happens then it’s job done…”
Having already established himself as a jazz trumpeter, the artist has worked with the likes of Plan B and Paloma Faith over the years, while working on his own original material. With more music to come, the artist is set to dominate 2022.
