Now, while many brands are beloved by celebrities and the Hollywood elite, none have more of a connection to the glittering hills than Gucci. Synonymous for dressing our favourite stars in the most extravagant, hype-worthy outfits, the Italian house has situated itself as the most loved by the industry. And now, in a bid to celebrate its relationship with Hollywood, the house unveils the Gucci Love Parade.
Taking to the infamous Hollywood Walk of Fame, creative director Alessandro Michele looked to the legacy of his mother, who once worked as a film production assistant, in a bid to inject his newest collection with not-so-subtle references to the aesthetics made infamous by the likes of Hollywood’s darling, Marilyn Monroe. With not a single feathered hem or glittering sequin spared, the collection was everything you would expect from one of its kind. Featuring sheer red carpet-ready gowns, satin slips and playful printed shirts paired with boxy pants, the collection stood as the perfect embodiment of old-school glamour – one that made all the more explosive whilst it was paraded around under the blaring and neon-infused lights of the infamous Boulevard.
