With the days getting colder and the nights darker, it has become all the more apparent that cuffing season is upon us, meaning that love is well and truly on the brain. But, fear not, as Liyah Knight is feeling a similar type of way, and her new track “Hurricane” proves it. Set to transport listeners to a blissful evening drenched in the gleaming moonlight and spent with a loved one, the track is one brimming with romance as the warm strum of guitar strings and Knight’s ethereal tone culminate in a truly serene sound. With lyrics centred around the joys and pitfalls of the blinding nature of adoration, the cut also becomes wholly relatable, a feature that proves why the artist’s work is receiving industry-wide praise.

When speaking on the messaging at the core of the song, Liyah claims, “your friends see their flaws, they might try to tell you, but you see nothing but perfection. Even these ups and downs are romanticised.”

With this latest release from rising talent having also been cut from her hotly-anticipated sophomore EP, “Travellers Guide”, the track becomes all the more stellar, as it hopes to welcome us into Knight’s enchanting world.
