BLOOMS

Ushering us into a silky dark-pop soundscape with her warming new track is BLOOMS with “Text Me When You Get Home”. Honing in on her own blend of electro-pop, the artist effortlessly glides over the smooth synth-heavy production, before ultimately reaching a shimmering climax that sees her vocals fade under the track. While the single has a chilling tone, the artist highlights the hard-hitting reality of all the actions women and girls must track to feel safe while taking a journey home. Inspired by the murder of Sarah Everard and most recently Sabrina Ness, the artist uses her voice to shine a light on an issue that desperately needs resolve.

Speaking on the track, the artist said, “I wrote the song as a reaction to the Sarah Everard story. I lived in London. I walked through parks on my own to get home. I have been that girl. We have all been that girl but the outcome of her story broke my heart. There’s definitely a sadness to the song. We all want the people we care about to let us know that they’re safe, to let us know they got home ok. It should be so simple but it’s not.”
