The world of celebrity makeup brands is a thing to behold. From Kylie Jenner‘s empire-launching lip kits to the world domination of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty, some of the zeitgeist’s most influential players have graced us with irresistible beauty products over the years. And, who better to join the likes of Kylie and Riri than the queen of pop herself, Ariana Grande.

While a potential cosmetics line from the singer has been speculated over for a while, yesterday, fans received their first glimpse at what seems to be a legitimate and fully formed brand concept. Named after a track from her Sweetener album, the name ‘r.e.m beauty’ started to pop up on Times Square billboards, along with an Instagram account that currently boasts 55.7k followers and a website. And, while all of these teasers, along with the prospect of Ari-designed makeup products is wildly exciting, we cannot say we are surprised. Having singlehandedly kickstarted our current obsession with graphic liner and standing as the official owner of the high pony, the “thank u, next” singer has been the ultimate beauty reference point since her very beginnings.

While there is no official confirmation of Ari’s involvement with this new brand, its potential contents or a launch date, we are quietly confident that the megastar will be blessing up with everything from colourful liquid liners to candy-hued glosses very soon.
