Set to join the countless list of Disney remakes filling our screens this year is Amazon Prime’s Cinderella. Making her debut starring role in a movie, ex-Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello steps into the shoes of the iconic princess as the teaser trailer gives us a glimpse at her belting out musical melodies alongside scenes of regal balls and Billy Porter granting wishes. Set for release on September 3rd, expect fairytale romance and spellbinding plots galore.

The Kissing Booth 3

Upon the drop of the trailer for The Kissing Booth 3, Netflix has made it clear that it is gearing up to bid farewell to one of its most beloved franchises. Having provided watchers with a whirlwind plot filled with teenage angst, secret crushes and relatable comedy, the film series is set to peak as stars Joey King and Jacob Elordi head to the beach for a summer filled with tough decisions, the looming reality of college and, of course, plenty of kissing. Get your tissues ready for August 11th, as it’s set to be an emotional goodbye.

Naomi Osaka

Promising to inspire and offer a glimpse into the pressure of life in the public eye, young sporting legend Naomi Osaka is gearing up to drop her eponymous documentary project with Netflix. After her withdrawal from this year’s French Open, all eyes have been on the 23-year-old tennis star as outpourings of support and love from fans ushered forward her brave decision to prioritise her mental health and set a precedent for the next generation of sporting talent. Now set to delve deep into Osaka’s rise to stardom and battles with the pressures of success, the documentary series promises to unpack her widely-discussed decisions and the factors that lead to them, making it one to watch upon its release on July 16th.

Succession Season 3

Back for a third explosive season is the Emmy Award-winning drama Succession. Continuing on with a portrayal of the Roy family and their media empire, season 3 will pick up from the dramatic fall out of the exposing of dark secrets and betrayal that laced season 2’s finale. With the new trailer’s tagline reading “Are you part of this family or not?”, the suspense continues to mount as anxious watchers continue to anticipate the looming reveal of the new head of Waystar Royco. So, expect endless corporate angst and dark humour upon the series release in autumn.

Schmigadoon!

With a tag line that reads “love leads to the strangest places”, new musical Schmigadoon! promises bizarre musical sequences and irreverent comedy from the get-go. And, one glance at the trailer’s sickly-sweet visuals only solidifies this promise. Starring the likes of Cecily Strong, Dove Cameron and Keegan-Michael Key, prepare to fall through an endearing tale as a strained relationship is subjected to the lessons of love and life synonymous with all good musicals. You can expect this ingenious all-singing and all-dancing Apple TV+ series to burst onto your screens on July 16th.

Jolt

Filled with conditions of super-human strength, torturous heartbreak and action-packed scenes, the trailer for Amazon’s Jolt is an ode to revenge. The trailer gives watchers the first glimpse into the story of Lindy, a woman battling severe anger-management issues that she controls with the use of a shock vest, as she hunts down the callous murderers of her first love who she finds dead in the prime of their romance. Boasting a star-studded cast including the likes of Kate Beckinsale, Laverne Cox, Bobby Cannavale and Stanley Tucci, brace for yourself of a healthy dose of female empowerment and revenge-seeking when it drops on July 23.
