PREMIERE: KNUCKS – “LOS POLLOS HERMANOS”

Call Walter White and Jesse, because Knucks is taking us to the infamous chicken joint for his Breaking Bad-inspired single.

If there is one artist who we are championing right now, It’s north London-born rapper Knucks. From his polished debut EP “NRG 105” to his lyrically-focused project “London Class”, the artist has shown us time and time again that he is a one to watch. Kicking off the new year with his Breaking Bad-inspired single “Los Pollos Hermanos”, the rapper once again blends his distinctive sound with jazz-flecked elements, creating a laid-back Latin production that easily takes us to the southwest. While the song is only just over a minute long, Knucks effortlessly leaves his mark on the single, spitting smooth cheeky bars on piano-led production.

Keeping the same energy in the accompanying visual, the north Londoner pays homage to Gustavo from the popular series, recreating iconic scenes, before ultimately revealing this secret double life. From selling out headline shows to shout outs from the likes of Stormzy and Wretch 32, the rapper has proved his status over the years –  all without a debut album. Keeping his cards close to his chest when discussing new music, it looks like we’ll have to potentially wait for whatever the rapper has in store for us in the coming months.
