Whilst her endeavours in the world of Mykonos beach clubs and NFTs are nothing short of iconic, the fact of the matter is, we miss on-screen Lindsay Lohan. Mean Girls, Freaky Friday and more – her contribution to the noughties teen film canon was undefeated. Thankfully now an announcement has dropped that Lohan will return to the big screen for a starring role in a Netflix rom-com. Lohan fans, the wait is over.
Announced by Netflix on Twitter, the star is set to play a “newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress” that finds herself with amnesia after a skiing accident and taken in by, of course, a “handsome blue-collar lodge owner.” So expect a holiday offering filled with snow, festive scenes and plenty of romance.
With speculation suggesting that filming for the yet-to-be-named film will commence in winter this year, it seems as though the holiday film will not be hitting our screens until 2022 at the earliest. For now, we wait.
