If you’ve been struggling to get in the Christmas spirit this year, it’s really no surprise, what with the global uncertainty and stop-and-start lockdowns. But in London, we’re back open for business – and one place feeding our festive wonder is Soho’s legendary haunt 100 Wardour St.
In collaboration with Taittinger, last year’s Alpine Lodge has returned, open from early December 2020 to the end of February 2021. In tow once again are masses of cheer in the form of cosy après-ski décor (think leather chesterman sofas, fur throws, pine cones galore), and a winter cocktail menu to celebrate the season.
And just some of the treats on the menu: a cocoa tequila mulled wine with “On The Slopes”; a spiced rum, banana liquor and maple syrup rum concoction with marzipan foam in “When In Verbier”; spiced pear, walnut bitters and pear and almond puree shaken up in “Snow What”. All imbued with the distinctive taste of Taittinger Brut. And served with drinks will be a selection of delicious festive snacks. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.
