If you’ve been struggling to get in the Christmas spirit this year, it’s really no surprise, what with the global uncertainty and stop-and-start lockdowns. But in London, we’re back open for business – and one place feeding our festive wonder is Soho’s legendary haunt 100 Wardour St.

In collaboration with ​Taittinger, last year’s Alpine Lodge has returned, open from early December 2020 to the end of February 2021​. In tow once again are masses of cheer in the form of cosy après-ski décor (think leather chesterman sofas, fur throws, pine cones galore), and a winter cocktail menu to celebrate the season.

And just some of the treats on the menu: a cocoa tequila mulled wine with “On The Slopes”; a spiced rum, banana liquor and maple syrup rum concoction with marzipan foam in “When In Verbier”; spiced pear, walnut bitters and pear and almond puree shaken up in “Snow What”. All imbued with the distinctive taste of Taittinger Brut. And served with drinks will be a selection of delicious festive snacks. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.
