Enter Whitaker Malem, the eccentric design duo behind someone the most iconic superhero costumes. Launching their new range of superhero influenced masks, the brand are taking inspiration from movies such as Die Another Day, The Dark Knight, Captain America: First Avenger and Wonder Woman. The collection showcases their signature moulded snug leather with futuristic styling for a mask that is giving us ultimate superhero chic vibes. Made with hypoallergenic materials and satin lingerie elastic, the masks are perfect for everyday wear.

Speaking on their new venture, the designers said, “The mask is the result of form following function and a desire to create a practical yet individualistic luxury protective product that’s both aspirational and useful to people’’ explains Patrick Whitaker. “Jaw articulation and the triple-layer stretch-fabric filter make the mask relatively supple and expressive, while the natural fabrics make the mask easy to breathe in”, adds Keir Malem.

Having first been established since 1988, this collection marks the first time the brand has created a collection that is open for the public to purchase, the brand normally only create work for bespoke clients such as McQueen and Hussein Chalayan. As well as the ultra-cool collection the brand will be donating 20% of all profits to homeless charity Shelter.
