If you’ve been gasping for a sugary-sweet drink of something harder than a pink gin perhaps a bit more than usual, don’t worry, you’re not the only one. The last few months have been far from a joy ride, so why not treat yourself to a tasty beverage, or several, at Kensington High Street’s most fabulous bar & restaurant – Romulo?
The multi-award-winning Filipino eatery is paying tribute to the cocktail for an entire month this October, joining forces with celebrated single-island rum distillery Don Papa Rum to create a mouth-watering food and cocktail pairing experience, titled Sugarlandia.
The partnership aims to commemorate the grandfather of the restaurant’s co-owner, Brigadier General Carlos P. Romulo, a United Nations president who invaded Leyte on the 20th October 1944 and initiated the end of the Japanese occupation of the Philippines.
