The “Rihanna” singer has been dominating the UK music scene with his cheeky and captivating flow, leaving us addicted to his latest projectQuarantime: The Lost Files. With hits such as “Section” and “Porsche” on the album, the breakout star blends dancehall and afrobeats with trap and ominous drill beats on his latest project.
Featuring heavy-hitters such as AJ Tracey, Gunna and American superstar Young Thug, Bane is making sure we are listening to top tunes this quarantine.

Taken from my mixtape Quarantime: The Lost Files. I love this one – because it uplifts the soul. Even when I’m down, I like listening to “Section” – it was the start of the tape for me. It’s a strengthening soul track, it’s good for you mentally, I’m saying a lot. It’s soul-feeding.

Yxng Bane x K-Trap – “Are You Mad”
I like “Are You Mad” because I was able to turn a negative situation into a positive – so I simply, really like this song for that reason. I think it speaks for itself.
Yxng Bane – “Table For Two”
I love “Table for Two” because it’s just romantic. It puts me in my feels. It makes you call and say sorry – “sorry babe!” Powerful.
Yxng Bane – “Thriller”
This one actually reminds me of Afro Nation – and Portugal. The opening lyrics mention Portugal directly actually. We played Afro Nation but we stayed out there for another week and I got a proper feel for the country– I really loved it. The beat reminded me of Portugal and I channelled that when I was writing it – months later in the studio, the beat brought me back there.
Gunna and Young Thug – “Quarantine Lean”
This song is very appropriate for the time. Enough said. It’s on repeat.
Yxng Bane – “Change Your Life”
It’s one of my favourites because it’s back in my “Fine Wine” world when I was collaborating with Kojo Funds. It reminds me of that song, it’s my summer go-to tune – the first tune you play when you get in the car on a sunny day.
Mist – “House Party” ft. Fredo
This had to go on the playlist. I feel like whenever Mist and Fredo come together it’s going to be good. “So High” was also a good track from them as a pair.
