A new album from Kanye West was never going to go under the radar. The supposed tracklist for his ninth album – with features from Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj – was revealed by Kim Kardashian-West in late September on Twitter, but since then the release date has twice been postponed, leaving us still eagerly waiting for the project.

Now West has dropped the teaser trailer for an accompanying film, Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Film, which will arrive in IMAX theatres this Friday. Directed by fashion photographer and filmmaker Nick Knight, the film will provide an insight into the rapper’s Sunday Service in a previously unseen installation called the Roden Crater, created by artist James Turrell in Arizona’s Painted Desert.

Ominously zooming into the impressive installation before the screen fades to bright white, the trailer then shows a bible verse as gospel singing is heard. With West confirming that he’ll only make gospel music from now, we’re equal parts intrigued and excited by the album’s release on Friday… if it doesn’t get postponed again, of course.
