Taking a lighthearted look at memory, Blood Brother and Holt Renfrew have joined creative forces to create a capsule collection for SS17. Crafting an ode to human memory, the collection is full of distressed candy stripes (like those well-loved deck chairs on Brighton Beach) and high intensity applied graphics, representing the abstract nature that we create and recall memories. We love.
With graphics tied together with abstract scribbles and tongue in cheek quotes representing the fractured way we make notes and recall snippets of conversations and then piece together our remembered reality, the capsule collection addresses the way that we both remember and create our memories, and hints at the idea of casting a nostalgic, sun-drenched haze across certain aspects. Our favourite graphics include Toronto’s un-finished CN building (a little nod to Holt Renfrew’s Canadian nationality).
The capsule consists of two hoodies (£120), jogging bottoms (£130) and 5 t-shirts (£50-75) and are available from Friday 2nd December exclusively at Holt Renfrew online outlets and the Blood Brother flagship store and website.
