Gucci’s Cruise campaign for SS16 is a yellowed glamour trip into stately hotels, with murals to die for and industrial carpets to avoid.

Nostalgia tinged and run-down, Gucci have got glamour undone on lock for Cruise SS16. Where else could you wear a mustard yellow skirt suit and golden pumps, (the perfect combination of bad taste and good style) other than in a greying vision of glamour.

Murals adorn the walls but plug sockets are left exposed, furniture is full of grandeur but the sofa’s have lost their stuffing. The clothes match perfectly, gloriously dated prints snipped into new shapes are a favourite. Beige floral bombers and oversized glasses frames? Thank you Gucci for letting our Wes Anderson geeky sides shine through.
