Directed by Patrick Kinmonth and Antonio Monfreda, Amanda Harlech stars in Fendi’s AW15-16 Men’s Collection film.
Who’s Amanda Harlech’s male co-star in Fendi’s new fashion film? Er… It’s Amanda herself. Remember that F.R.I.E.N.D.S quote, “A man, duh?” It’s all making sense now. Sort of.
All aboard the night train, at the start of our story, Amanda finds herself, or rather himself at the trackside as a man. In the six-minute saga of self-discovery, Amanda travels through Italy’s Capalbio reserve. An appropriately dramatic setting to showcase Fendi’s tactile collection complete with fortresses, lakes and forests. After travels filled with longing, yearning and confusion, Amanda finally sees herself as aMANda while waiting from the castle, realising that is what she was waiting for the entire time.
“Working together with Amanda Harlech on a menswear project was exciting! FENDI has been a pioneer in highlighting the Men’s universe through short movies, and aMANda marks another step forward in the renowned and unique relationship between FENDI and the cinema world. The FENDI Man is all about subtle elegance and this is perfectly conveyed by the inimitable Italian landscape yet by the surreal atmosphere of the story”, states Silvia Venturini Fendi.
