South London hip-hop duo Krept and Konan have been friends since they were Bluetoothing songs to each other back in 2004, as we found out in our Rollacoaster interview with the pair. Following their explosive hit “Don’t Waste My Time”, we’re expecting great things from The Long Way Home, their debut album, due for release in July. The pair curate us a playlist of their top tracks of the moment from collaborators, club hits and driving songs.
Krept
“All Day” – Kanye West
Chose “All Day” because we was on stage with Ye at the Brits this year. It was a moment and the track’s hard.
“Don’t Tell Em” – Jeremih
Because of our remix with Jeremih and performing at the MOBO’s with him to close the show. Still a proper banger.
“Bitch Better Have My Money” – Rihanna
Basically…a few people owe us money right now. Self-explanatory really.
“Ayo” – Chris Brown & Tyga
The video is proper. They always take it to the next level with the visuals.
“Bitches n Marijuana” – Chris Brown & Tyga
We performed with Tyga the other night at Cirque and we all vibing to this on stage with him. It’s another certified banger.
Konan
“Drake ‘Trophies’ (Remix)” – Migos
They say in the chorus they want a Grammy and that’s something I relate to.
“We Dem Boyz” – Wiz Khalifa
Basically, this song always gets me hyped in the club. Plus after working with Wiz I rate the way he works and how consistent he is with making hit after hit.
“Check” – Young Thug
Since signing the publishing deal a couple weeks back I haven’t stopped playing it. Always thought Thug was cold and think he’s a dope artist.
“My Way (Remix)” – Fetty Wap (Feat. Drake)
This is one of the songs that gets hammered while I’m driving. If you’ve got me on Snapchat then you know.
“Don’t Waste My Time (Remix)” – Krept & Konan
This is one of my favourite songs we’ve ever made. The remix featured Chinx Drugz and unfortunately he passed away last week so rest in peace Chinx. Thank you for jumping on the remix.
