Kim K is the queen of the selfie but apparently with the success of her new book, Selfish, she’s fearing competitors, as pictures are banned at her launch.

Who wants to get a selfie with Kim Kardashian? Er, anyone who’s ever taken a selfie as shameless as one of KK’s own! And where better than the launch of her book devoted to the art of the self-portrait? Selfish launched in New York last night and we’ve heard that selfies were banned. Sacrilege! According to The Independent, this was all denied by a Kardash representative but fans came out disheartened that they hadn’t managed to get a snap.

Selfish is out now, over 400 glossy pages spanning nine years, complete with comments from Kim and a healthy peppering of hashtags, it might not end up on the shelf next to classic literature, but we’ll sure as hell enjoy it for what it is. Don’t get disheartened if you can’t master it straight away: there’s the good, the bad and the (almost) ugly in Selfish, just to remind you that Kim K’s human, after all.
