Jimmy Choo team up with artist Rafael Mantesso, for a limited edition capsule collection starring a charismatic bull terrier for Pre-Fall 15.

This season Jimmy Choo met their furry alter-ego: Jimmy Choo the bull terrier. That’s right, Brazilian artist Rafael Mantesso has a (now) high-profile pooch called Jimmy Choo, all thanks to instagram.

Following a divorce that left him alone in his flat with no furniture, Mantesso decided to fill the blank void in his home with whimsical illustrations, turning his persona misfortune into what can only be described as hilarity. An angular couch, ornate picture frames, a bed complete with lamp and bedside table, DJ decks and of course, a walk in wardrobe. Once Jimmy carefully positioned himself in each scene, the creative collaboration was born.

When the illustrations started gaining worldwide attention via Instagram, Jimmy Choo’s Creative Director Sandra Choi couldn’t resist a tongue-in-cheek canine collaboration. So, Pre-Fall 15 sees Mantesso’s designs re-appropriated on bags, purses, clutches and iPhone cases, three’s even a dog collar thrown in for good measure. In celebration, Jimmy Choo unveil an animated film created by London based animator Jo Ratcliffe, that tells the story of a day in the life of our dog-of-the-day, Jimmy Choo.
