It’s hard to believe that Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss were yet to star in a campaign together until today, but what is easier to believe is that Burberry are the divine force who brought them together and rightly so!
Not only offering a fragrance which serves up a scent said to mirror a garden after the rain – with top notes of sweet pea and bergamot fuse and a heart of geranium, golden quince and freesia, rounded out with base notes of rain-tipped damask and centifolia roses and patchouli – along with a killer campaign, Burberry are also indulging in the art of personalisation offering monograming for each bottle of trench coat honey coloured My Burberry sold, ever pioneering that personal touch they are renowned for.
Echoing the design sentiments of Burberry’s signature trench coat, each bottle features a bold horn-finish cap lending style notes from the coat’s buttons and a hand-tied knot in English-woven gabardine, honouring the fabric invented by none other than Thomas Burberry, over 100 years ago. And of course, the offering wouldn’t be complete without a slick of Burberry check, embossed in the gold lined interior.
Continuing the My Burberry theme, we see the dynamic duo, Kate and Cara, wearing the Sandringham trench coat throughout the campaign, with what could well be nothing underneath. Shot by Mario Testino under the creative direction of Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Bailey, the campaign epitomises the individuality of Kate, Cara and Burberry as a brand.
