East London brand Pippa Lynn have dropped a new fashion-film lookbook for their AW14 collection, with lead singer of Faro, Laura Hayden, taking centre stage
Entitled “Go Faster” the black and white video campaign for East London brand Pippa Lynn’s AW14 collection, sees Hayden skipping and twirling in sports lux inspired pieces, against a double-exposure backdrop of scenes from London’s streets. Inspired by a wonderfully eclectic mix of the 1970s movie ‘Evel Knievel’ and a love of HipHop, the clothes sit comfortably between stylish and easy to wear, whilst clever embellishments like badges, panels, fonts and slogans twinned with mixed fabrics like jersey and mesh, give the whole collection a young, sporty vibe, perfect for the Pippa Lynn girl.
Sound-tracked by Faro’s new single “Drive On” the dark urban scenes complement the collection perfectly, whilst the song adds some necessary lightness with a focus on funk driven bass and Hayden’s melodic indie-pop vocals. It captures the lingering warmth of autumn perfectly. Bringing together facets of old and new pop culture perfectly, the collection is sure to be a success.
