We premiere German-born, London-dwelling singer Alev Lenz‘s beautiful new stop motion video, produced in collaboration with make-up artist extraodinare Isamaya Ffrench.

Lenz is blessed with the kind of hauntingly wistful voice that puts her in the same happy league as Lykki Li and Feist – and in this video, she makes a pretty good blank canvas for the work of make-up artist and body painter Isamaya Ffrench too.

Since upping sticks from Germany and heading for London’s bright lights, Lenz has been making moves in all the right directions, working with Jas from Simian Mobile Disco and hooking up (production-wise, at least) with quietly brilliant drummer Samuli Kosminen (Múm, Kronos Quartet, Jónsi). The heads behind ultra-discerning indie broadcaster NTS Radio were so impressed, they even invited her to host her own show. Count us in.
