Whistles collaborate with raincoat brand Stutterheim to create a fusion of Swedish craftsmanship and British design – who can resist the Nordic? Not us!

Stutterheim have the most original of origins – inspired by his granddad’s fishing coat designer and founder Alexander Stutterheim creates modern and entirely handmade, entirely waterproof raincoats. Can the Swedish do no wrong? Whistles have championed the nordic influences, minimalistic style and stunningly cool aesthetics at the height of British contemporary fashion.

The collaboration raincoats fuse British design and Swedish manufacturing – Stutterheim raincoats are made from the last remaining textiles factory in Sweden! Choose between navy, and grey in matte, these raincoats are the perfect addition to any contemporary wardrobe. With April showers not so far in the distance, we have added these refined must haves to our wish lists.

Whistles Menswear Debut

We take a closer look at Whistles debut menswear collection, staring with their sheepskin parka

After taking a glance at Whistles new AW14 collection, it seems alien to think that they didn’t do menswear until now. With AW14 marking their debut, the collection is built upon the foundations of contemporary design and modern utility. Rivalling the inspiring and intelligent reputation of its womenswear, their winter offering delivers the building blocks of an edited wardrobe that is both accessible and timeless. With an emphasis on newness it is set to keep men excited about, well, menswear and it’s set to be a mainstay shopping destination for many a style savvy man.

With oversized overcoats, cashmere loungewear, aviator- inspired black shearling, biker jackets, crisp Oxfords, checked flannels and textured shirts all housed in the collection, Whilstles are not only serving up something that is uber fashionable, but also wearable too. “At Whistles we value the power of understatement and believe that sharpness, quality and function are what really resonate today. Whistles unveil the campaign for their gorgeous eveningwear inspired AW14 collection and we’re hooked

Whistles have presented their AW14 lookbook, featuring a collection based on eveningwear including diversely worn sweaters, softwood overcoats, plush fur outerwear and a mixture of marvellous accessories.

The brand presents reimagined checks which are blurred and oversizes with a patchwork feel to them while also offering thick faux fur coats in soft smoky lilac greys. There’s no denying that this collection is one of the brands most diverse to date and is a one that can be worn both as daywear or nightwear while being both accessible yet elegant – something that many brands strive to achieve during their whole existence.
