If you find off-duty dressing a forced affair, allow Reiss to come to your rescue; the new luxury leisurewear line takes the effort out of looking effortless. In a pared-down stone palette, gently tapered cuts emerge in terse cotton jerseys, marly grains speckled across crisp co-ords. Flicked crew neck sweaters serve covetable contemporary staples, and unassuming though they are, they make an impeccable addition to any wardrobe with their powdery pebble shades. Tracksuits take from tailoring as cotton-rich sweatpants are starched and slackened, slim legs narrowing neatly to the cuff. Paired with a sleek zip-up hoodie, the look is remarkably refined, though it’s when loungewear is layered that it comes into its own.  When it comes to smart-casual, Riess have truly got it covered.

Travel in style with the new Reiss and SteamLine Luggage capsule collection collaboration. ReissXSteamLine Erma Bombeck once famously said, “There is nothing more miserable in the world than to arrive in paradise and look like your passport photo!” Despite the truth in her words, it’s something we’re all guilty of, arriving in a tropical haven or a sprawling metropolis and looking like your typical travelling Brit – overwhelmed, underdressed and with those horrible rainbow strap things covering our bags in an attempt to make them distinguishable on the carousel (when in fact everyone else had the same idea). Reiss and SteamLine are here to save you. From Spring next year you will be able to purchase the Carry-On and Stowaway pieces (£375 and £395 respectively). Inspired by vintage glamour when the journey itself was an adventure not an unfortunate necessity, the pieces are made from recycled wood, canvas and vegan leather, with clean and brushed metal hardware. You get all the old-school style with the modern advantages, lightweight, silent wheels and extendable handles. From March 2015, the pieces will be available from selected Reiss stores and from both SteamLine and Reiss’ online stores. Steamline2   Steamline3

Wonderland presents Reiss: ‘The Poetics of Space’, a film that captures the transitioning moments of memory and the possibilities of a relationship between a man and a woman

If only all relationships could be as chic as this one. Shot in beautiful black and white, Reiss: The Poetics of Space takes aesthetic and ideological inspiration from the French New Wave film movement of the ’60s – cinematic beauty at its very best. Through a hyperlapsed collection of visuals, disjointed sounds and French dialogue, the film reflects memories of what may or may not have been for the couple. Ultimately, however, it is up to the viewer to perceive the relationship, whilst the exquisite craftsmanship and beauty of Reiss‘ AW14 mens and womenswear resides throughout.

It’s practically impossible to concentrate on the subtitles in La Dolce Vita. The 1960 comedy drama won an Oscar for its costume design, and rightly so. From start to finish it features a dizzying array of impossibly glam starlets and their vampish ensembles. Think flowing gowns, vintage swimwear and miraculous hair. Written and directed by Frederico Fellini, the film charts seven days in the life of an Italian journalist who tags along with the aristocracy whilst trying to carve out a career in journalism and simultaneously fight the ever present paparazzi off his fabulous, jobless friends. The good news is you too can channel the La Dolce Vita vibe, as high street brand Reiss took inspiration from the stylish film when designing its SS14 collections – available to view here at reiss.com. Here, we chart La Dolce Vita’s key fashion moments – Seven Wonders style.

1. Girls from the opening scene in retro swimwear, preparing for an uncontrollable urge to spend all their money on gorgeous bikinis.

2. Marcello throughout the whole film, wonderful suits, even better sunglasses.

3. How can we forget the iconic Trevi fountain scene? The fountain is now guarded by a special bar to stop pesky tourists trying to emulate Anita Ekberg going for dip at midnight in her stunning black ball gown.

Reiss La Dolce Vita

4. Anouk throughout – one of Marcello’s girlfriends who has eyelashes as long as spiders’ legs. She puts Audrey Hepburn to shame in knee-length LBDs.

Reiss La Dolce Vita

5. Sylvia wandering aimlessly through the streets of Rome very late at night, draped in white fur.

6. Emma, Marcello’s other clingy girlfriend attempts suicide under very chic circumstances.

7. Sylvia bewitching paparazzi in a black lace ensemble.
