Naomi Campbell, Natasha Poly and Lindsey Wixon were spotted on the star-studded runway at La Perla’s jaw-dropping show this season. Firm bodies and full busts sashayed down the catwalk. Us jealous? No! Lace and tulle aplenty, the looks were slinky and sophisticated in a ‘bedroom’ colour palette. Think blacks, silky reds, subtle pinks, nudes, and crisp white with golds and silvers.

With a theme title of “Inside Out”, La Perla get a gold star for their innovative workings and luxurious layered fabrics. Stockings and internal structures were on full show, displaying the architecture of every piece. And of course, the luxury of La Perla was not lost in the collection – the looks were hand made and the most precious pieces were laced with gold, crystals and hand sewn pleats. Underwear as outwear is set to make a huge comeback – metal buckles replace bra straps, black long sleeved tops are layered underneath glamorous bodices and pockets are placed on the outside of translucent trousers for a bit of fun. You could wear the La Perla collection like a second skin! Don’t go rushing full hardy into the boudoir, because they are delicately embroidered and embellished with the lightest lace the world has to offer. If the devil is in the detail, then he can swoop us up and take us somewhere warm head to toe in La Perla!

Italian brand La Perla have this week released their inaugural menswear campaign shot by none other than creative duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The third creative union to date, this time with art direction from Fabien Baron and colour. With sharp suiting and the most decadent of lounge wear – think silk robes, crisp layers and luxurious textures – this is La Perla’s take on a man;s world. Modeled by Richard Biedul who appeared in the brand’s first ever men’s show at Pitti Uomo in Florence this summer, the new concept screams luxury for even the accomplished of gentlemen.

On the second floor, VIP customers can receive La Perla’s espace privé treatment, which involves the label’s new made-to-measure service. Customers can order bespoke creations that are crafted by artisans in Bologna and made from the highest quality materials.

Emulating the feel of an elite atelier, the new La Perla Old Bond Street store is the epitome of femininity, elegance and sensuality. And with their new AW14 collection having just arrived, what better timing than to pop in for a visit. Because as we all know, any trip to La Perla is most certainly, an afternoon well spent.
