]]> I Am Harlequin, aka Anne Freier, performs ‘Chic’, the b-side to her single, ‘Kill the Night’.

Inspired by Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Kate Bush, it’s no surprise I Am Harlequin’s music is coated in 80s licks and fuelled by a groove bassline. Anne’s all about the performance, not the polish, not that her voice needs it, but her offhand style only adds to her effortlessly cool aura in her Wonderland Session.

Halfway between Hackney and Islington, Anne performs ‘Chic’ for us in our latest Wonderland Session at The Nave. The a-side to the track, ‘Kill the Night’ has stronger hints of pop than ‘Chic’ and both songs are sure to become danceable anthems.
