With their longstanding partnership with Selfridges, IT Hong Kong have announced their latest collaboration with Musium x Cheap Monday to launch exclusively at London’s Selfridges store. The two brands hook up for the exclusive alliance, showcasing both womenswear and menswear monochrome wardrobes. The Capsule collection see’s the perfectly suited marriage of the well known Asian label, Musium DIV’s British rock’n’roll/punk influences with Cheap Monday’s characteristic skull motifs and familiar jean and jersey staples.

The solely bold black and white collection will be available in Selfridges from June 4th.

Cheap Monday has created a limited edition mini-collection with Paris-inspired motifs to celebrate the opening of their first, own store in Paris later this month. The collection will be released for sale in Cheap Monday stores worldwide and online at www.cheapmonday.com

The collection consists of jeans, skirt, jacket, shirt, t-shirts and accessories: shoulder bag, tote bags, jewellery kits and a scarf. Key pieces are jeans or jeans skirt with matching shirt or jacket with a Mona Lisa-motif as an all-over print.

Since we are opening a store in the fashion capital of the world we thought what better inspiration than Paris itself? Mind you, it’s from a tourist perspective and for us, the Mona Lisa that comes to mind first. And Non! As answer to the question “Do you speak English?” – Ann-Sofie Back, Creative Director at Cheap Monday.

A tag line “Cést Cheap” is used as a recurring print on t-shirts, tote, the chain strap denim shoulder bag and on some of the jewelry. On t-shirts and tote bags it’s accompanied by illustrations of French icons like eg. Jeanne d’Arc and Mona Lisa.

“Cést Cheap” also embodies the spirit of Cheap Mondays Paris Store launch concept -where the brand is taking to the streets and appearing in its favourite bars before the opening- and in that way making one of the world’s most expensive cities a little bit cheaper in different ways.

The Cheap Monday show opened at Copenhagen Fashion Week with an awkward scene, couples slow dancing under spotlights reminiscent of one of those awkward school dances with your first crush. The models slowly broke away from their partners to make their way down the runway to show us what the Swedish denim brand has to offer for fall 2014.

Obviously there was a lot of denim, jeans, trousers, bombers, jackets and dresses you name it. The silhouette was relaxed and straight with funnel necks and round shoulders on a colour palette of camel, silver, grey, white and black with regular flashes of neon green. This collection will be a surefire hit with Cheap Mondays fashion forward followers.
