Vancouver-to-London singer-songwriter Plain Mister Smith delivers lively new single, “Miss Sunshine”.

Flitting across the Atlantic with bases in both Vancouver and London, enigmatic artist Plain Mister Smith’s geographical fluidity is reflected in the core of his sonic essence. Rooted in a sound that’s folk-tinged and anthemic yet can be brooding and bohemian, there’s a complexity in the simplicity of his work. 

New single “Miss Sunshine”, unveiled via Amelia Records/Symphonic, is emblematic of his appeal. The first release from a forthcoming album that will be shared sometime next year, the cut boasts an infectious guitar patterns, focused production choices and playful yet potent lyricism. On the meaning behind the release, the talent offers, “If you’ve ever worked with the loveliest person in the world and found them mercilessly taken advantage of by fellow workers, then you’ll know a “Miss Sunshine”, or you may even have a crush on her.”
