Jorja Smith drops a pensive banger, Confidence Man and JADE team up for some musical mischief, and Royel Otis get bittersweet: it’s Wonderlist.
Jorja Smith – “With You”
Currently taking the Walsall manifesto on a world tour, Jorja Smith stops by to bless us with a stunning new single “With You”. The track is both emotionally consuming and infectiously danceable, the perfect middle ground of reflection and infectious.
Confidence Man & JADE – “gossip”
Two of dance pop’s hottest acts — Aussie party starters Confidence Man and superstar JADE — combine for a raucously fun new single. “gossip” feels crisp and exciting, a fruity and fabulous collaboration with one of the year’s most cinematic visuals.
Royel Otis – “say something”
“say something” is Royel Otis at their most quintessential sad boi. The third single from the Sydney duo’s forthcoming album hickey, the new effort is a rousing indie pop banger, full of romantic angst and shimmering production.
Amaarae – “Girlie-Pop”
Ghanian-American superstar Amaarae is stretching new sonic boundaries with steamy and genre-bending new single “Girlie-Pop”. Plucked from BLACKSTAR — out 8th August — the cut borrows from a variety of styles, whilst the artist sounds and looks flawless.
Tyla ft. Wizkid – “Dynamite”
Releasing her new project “WWP”, Tyla collaborates with fellow African giant Wizkid on focus single “Dynamite”. The pair evoke a seamless and noteworthy chemistry, riding the brisk and bouncy instrumental boldly.
CMAT – “EURO-COUNTRY”
With her new record just over a month away, Irish dream CMAT unveils the seminal title-track. “EURO-COUNTRY” is the latest in a long line of playful and pretence-free sonic powerhouse — the hook is one of the most undeniable we’ve heard all year.
Latin Mafia ft. Omar Apollo – “Hecho para ti”
Undoubtedly one of the most interesting acts coming out of Mexico right now, Latin Mafia continue to impress with “Hecho para ti”. Enlisting global name Omar Apollo for a gorgeous vocal performance, the new single is rich and heartfelt, memorable and soulful. The retro visuals are good fun too.
Lola Young – “d£aler”
The third teaser single plucked from her highly anticipated September-set record I’m Only F**king Myself, Lola Young’s latest “d£aler” is a stripped back pop folk piece with some gorgeous guitar manoeuvres, a swirling vocal showing and an assuredly defiant message.
Venna ft. Leon Thomas – “Twisting”
South London saxophonist and producer Venna further raises hype for his 5th September-set debut album Malik with a fourth teaser single. On “Twisting”, Leon Thomas — who is absolutely everywhere right now — offers a dazzling vocal performance atop Venna’s intimate and inimitable instrumental backdrop.
Daniel Avery ft. Cecile Believe – “Rapture In Blue”
Producer and consumer Daniel Avery signs for Domino and announces a forthcoming sixth studio album, Tremor. The first teaser is little short of transcendental; borrowing the wonderful vocality of Cecile Believe, “Rapture In Blue” is a new side of Avery’s artistry — hook led, swirling guitars, gentle tonally. It works wonders.
Silver Gore – “Dogs in Heaven”
A new super duo has launched! Both excellent in their previous work, Ava Gore and Ethan P. Flynn have combined to create Silver Gore. Debut single “Dogs In Heaven” is beautiful and painstaking, experimental yet melodious, an off-kiter melting pot of folk, rock and alt pop.
SL ft. Aystar & Booter Bee – “Shooter”
One of UK rap’s best storytellers SL is gearing up to share a new mixtape, “Block Tales”, in early September, and shares the latest glimpse. “Shooter” bolsters an all star support cast of Scouse hero Aystar and masked driller Booter Bee, and is a sprawling narrative-led cut with gothic organs and snappy percussion.
Ayra Starr – “Hot Body”
Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer-songwriter Ayra Starr sounds as electric than ever on a sun-kissed dance floor ready anthem, “Hot Body”. Atop Afrobeats rhythm and gently pounding bass, Starr serenades, sways and shines.
Raquel Martins – “LITTLE BOY”
Portuguese-born, London-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Raquel Martins will share her debut album in September, with the singles so far proving to be excellent. The latest, “LITTLE BOY” is an idiosyncratic soul cut with intricate guitar work and a standout vocal performance from Martins.
Jessy Blakemore – “fone sex”
Emerging singer-songwriter Jessy Blackmore shares a quietly devastating new single. “fone sex” is a sparse, intimate and heartrending single from the promising newcomer.
Tough Cookie – “The Countryside Is Good For You”
One of the most striking and sonically expansive new guitar bands in the UK’s undergrowth, stellar four-piece Tough Cookie share their fourth single to date, ahead of the release of a mixtape in October. “The Countryside Is Good For You” leans out of the scuzzy rock of their early cuts and into the Americana wave currently straddling UK indie — to great effect.
holybones – “Saltywater”
Creative, enigmatic, thematically piercing, fresh faceless collective holybones are oddly captivating. “Saltwater” sees the underground electronic collective offer visceral visuals, thoughtful lyricism and swirling beathsmithery.
Pozer – “Nyash (Shake)”
Pozer is pushing the boundaries of UK rap as well as anyone right now. New cut “Nyash (Shake)” is nifty in its production and experimental in the visual accompaniment, with Pozer’s dominance on the beat growing with each passing release.
Divorce – “O Calamity”
Back with their first new music since the release of their brilliant debut album Drive to Goldenhammer, breakout band Divorce return with a serene soundbite, “O Calamity”. Laying bare their folk tendencies and emotionality alike, it’s a tender and saccharine slice of pop.
oakland x Stacy NKR – “cosmetic”
South East London rapper Stacy N.K.R teams up with pioneering producer oakland to mark their first collaboration, “cosmetic”. Initially introduced by BBC 1Xtra’s CassKidd last summer, the duo’s creative chemistry has since flourished, culminating in this powerful new single. Blending their distinct musical worlds, ‘cosmetic’ pairs Stacy’s smooth, self-assured flow with oakland’s majestic production.
Ada Lea – “midnight magic”
Montreal-based singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Ada Lea will share her new album on 8th August, and drops a third teasing single, “midnight magic”. Subtly cinematic, deftly performed and delicately written, Lea once again flaunts her unique craft.
Lexie Liu – “LIKE U”
Chinese singer-songwriter and producer Lexie Liu is a pop disruptor. “LIKE U” is hyper and dynamic, instinctive and introspective — plucked from her forthcoming EP, “TEENAGE RAMBLE”.
Dan Whitlam ft. Sophie Faith – “Mama Said It”
Refreshingly groovy and musically progressive, spoken word artist and instrumentalist Dan Whitlam drops his new five track EP. Title track “Mama Said It” features a gorgeous chorus from Sophie Faith and co-writing credits from EDBL.
Jamie Woon – “A Velvet Rope”
Following a break away from releasing, the soulful goodness of Jamie Woon is back in full force. He drops two new tracks — our favourite being the gentle giant “A Velvet Rope”, with rich, cascading musicality and delicate vocals.
Picture Parlour – “Talk About It”
Accompanied by a colourful video, Picture Parlour’s new single “Talk About It” is contagiously catchy. Frontwoman Katherine Parlour is dynamic and daring in her performance, whilst the instrumental is raw and rousing.
Offset – “Professional”
US rap heavyweight Offset is back with a fresh heater in the form of “Professional”. Fresh from his JID collaboration on “Bodies”, the Atlanta general brings slick flows and boastful bars.
Hugo Chegwin ft. KOJ – “With You”
Famed for his role as Beats in award-winning mockumentary People Just Do Nothing, Hugo Chegwin brings his years of experience behind the decks to excellent debut single “With You”. Enlisting talented Liverpudlian rapper KOJ on the mic, the garage-infused tune is playful and artistically potent.
Stepz – “Good Influence”
Across “Good Influence”, Stepz emerges more focused than ever, delivering his bold, spiritually-charged mission statement over sharp, glitchy percussion and vibrant, sample-driven sound waves. The Croydon rapper effortlessly captures the spirit of youth culture while offering a message of perseverance and growth.
Demae – “Don’t Play The Fool”
London singer-songwriter Demae is back with a groove-laden new cut, “Don’t Play The Fool”. Recording in Sweden and produced by Little Dragon’s Erik Rodin, the beguiling single epitomises the breathless talent of the rising star.
Lucky Iris – “i just want to dance”
Bringing their own sonic lens to the hyper pop movement, Leeds duo Lucky Iris bring an oddly electric effervescence to their new single. “i just want to dance” glisten and grooves, swirling with dance floor hedonism.

With a background that spans across cultures and continents, pop artist Tanis is breaking the mould. “Kid” is an intoxicating pop bop.
Luvrite – “Where To Find Me”
Fusing R&B soul with dark pop, Luvrite’s “Where To Find Me” explores connection, vulnerability, and emotional distance, capturing the ache of drifting apart in an overwhelming world. It’s also his second release from his upcoming EP Slowly Rushing.
TABI – “Leaving”
